The SALESBRIDGES EX Series lithium battery fire extinguishers are designed to combat fires involving lithium-based batteries. Available as the 6-litre EX6LI and 9-litre EX9LI, these extinguishers are intended for professional and industrial applications where lithium batteries are used or stored.

Manufactured in Europe, the extinguishers are specified as compliant with NF EN 3-7+A1 and the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.

The extinguishing agent uses fluorine-free, biodegradable additives and is formulated without PFAS, PFHxA, PFOA and PFOS.

Fire Protection for Lithium Batteries

Lithium batteries are increasingly used in professional equipment, tools and energy systems. Where a dedicated extinguishing solution for fires involving lithium-based batteries is specified, the EX Series provides two capacity options.

The EX6LI has a 6-litre capacity and a specified maximum battery energy of 135 Wh. The larger EX9LI has a 9-litre capacity and a specified maximum battery energy of 315 Wh.

Selection of fire protection equipment should always consider battery type, battery capacity, site-specific risk assessment and applicable fire-safety regulations.

Environmentally Considered Fluorine-Free Agent

The extinguishing additive is fluorine-free and biodegradable. According to the product specification, the formulation does not contain PFAS, PFHxA, PFOA or PFOS.

Its mixing system keeps the additive and water separately stored using a floating bottle. This design supports efficient servicing and helps reduce unnecessary extinguishing-agent waste during maintenance.
