BAUER SMGU Mini Swarf Tipping Container 230–610L

The BAUER SMGU Mini Swarf Tipping Container is specifically designed for industrial applications where metal swarf, machining residues and liquids need to be collected and separated in confined working areas.

Its key advantage is the extremely low overall construction height of only 450 mm. This makes the SMGU particularly suitable for positioning close to CNC machines, lathes, milling machines and other production equipment. The low 350 mm dumping-edge height supports direct collection of swarf and machining waste.

The BAUER SMGU series is available in approximately 230, 270, 460 and 610 litre capacities.

Separation of Liquids and Solids

The SMGU is designed to collect solid machining waste while separating associated liquids.

Each container incorporates:

• Perforated corner sieve

• 1" drain cock

• Oil- and watertight welded construction

Metal chips and other solid materials remain inside the container while coolant, lubricant and other liquids can separate from the solids.

Collected liquid can then be discharged in a controlled manner through the integrated 1-inch drain cock.

Forklift Tipping Operation

Integrated fork sleeves allow the SMGU to be picked up directly by a forklift.

The tipping mechanism is activated using a cable from the forklift driver's seat, allowing controlled emptying without requiring the operator to leave the forklift.

The container is designed to be secured against slipping and unintended emptying during handling.
