The Justrite SoundGard™ Oily Waste Can 0908 is a low-noise industrial safety waste can designed for the safe collection and temporary storage of oil-soaked rags, cleaning cloths and materials contaminated with combustible or flammable liquids.

Rags and cloths soaked with oils, solvents, thinners, linseed oil, combustible adhesives and other flammable liquids can present a serious fire risk when improperly discarded or stored.

The SoundGard™ version combines the safety features of a Justrite Oily Waste Can with a sound-muffling pad inside the lid to reduce disruptive lid-closure noise. This makes it particularly suitable for laboratories and other professional environments where reducing unnecessary noise is desirable.

These silver models are foot operated and available in capacities of 23, 38, 53 and 80 litres.

SoundGard™ Low-Noise Lid Closure

Traditional self-closing metal safety cans can produce noticeable noise when the lid closes. SoundGard™ technology incorporates a sound-muffling pad inside the lid to reduce closure noise.

Safe Disposal of Oily Rags

The self-closing lid remains closed when the can is not in use, helping isolate the contents from external ignition sources while limiting available oxygen. The lid opens to a maximum angle of 60 degrees.

The round construction and elevated base allow air to circulate around the outside of the container, helping dissipate heat while reducing moisture build-up and corrosion.
